I was shopping one day at De Pere Christian Outreach thrift store when I found a cool necklace with blue beads. So I bought the necklace, took it apart, and used the plastic beads to make this rosary. They're all navy blue 8mm. The Hail Mary beads include a few cubes as well (which looked pretty cool on the necklace). The Our Father beads are a white pearl color. The centerpiece is the Miraculous Medal, which features the inscription "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". The crucifix is base metal.

I would love to be able to locate the original family who donated the necklace to the thrift store and give them this rosary, perhaps as a memorial to their mother of grandmother.

UPDATE: I gave this rosary as a gift to Mary, a resident at Rennes Health & Rehab. Mary is the kindest and cheeriest woman I know; always smiling, always happy. "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay..."
